From injury to innovation
Velocity Grip began after I sustained a knee injury, putting me out of GAA for an extended period. Feeling disconnected from the sport I loved, I channelled my energy into something productive. This led to the creation of Velocity Grip, a way to re-engage with GAA and make a meaningful contribution to the game.
Unmatched grip and lasting comfort
What truly sets Velocity Grip gloves apart is our commitment to superior materials and design. We started off with using 2.5mm German latex but we found that the palm on our gloves wore off to easily and there wasn't enough thickness in the palm all though the 2.5 latex was very grippy. so we have now started using 3mm latex to add a bit more thickness to the palm so it wont wear off as easily and we have still maintained that grippy feeling while also keeping comfort. We have now started looking into abrasion resistance German latex to see how well it lasts on our gloves. We have started looking into this because we realized that the main parts on the palm that was tearing off was the finger tips which we we realized was due from constant interaction with the ball. Combined with breathable mesh, our gloves offer air time and comfort, keeping your hands feeling great throughout the game. We have added reinforced stitching around all breaking points. to ensure that the gloves wont break under pressure . The secure Velcro strap ensures the glove stays in place, letting you focus on your performance without any distractions.
